Survey: Consumers hold car manufacturers responsible for securing connected vehicles
92% of German respondents think a cybersecurity check should be part of the TÜV main inspection
HOD HASHARON / MUNICH – May 9, 2019 –The vast majority of German consumers (87%) believe that automobile manufacturers are responsible for providing cybesecurity measures for connected vehicles. The findings are part of a Karamba survey in April that used a sample population of 1,000 consumers across Germany.
Of those surveyed, 92% stated that security-relevant automobile software should be checked every two years, as part of the TÜV general inspection.
