SYSGO and Karamba Security Partner to Strengthen Cybersecurity Resilience for ELinOS-Based Embedded Systems

Collaboration pairs SYSGO’s CRA-ready ELinOS 8.0 with Karamba Security’s XGuard runtime hardening to help protect connected devices against AI-enabled threats

KLEIN-WINTERNHEIM, Germany, and HOD HASHARON, Israel — October 13, 2026 — SYSGO, a global developer of safety- and security-certified embedded real-time operating systems, and Karamba Security, a global leader of end-to-end product security, today announced a collaboration to help manufacturers of connected devices strengthen their cybersecurity resilience as they prepare for compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

SYSGO recently introduced ELinOS 8.0, the latest version of its embedded Linux operating system, which brings a range of built-in security capabilities designed to help customers address emerging regulatory requirements, including the CRA. Karamba Security’s XGuard adds a complementary layer of eight hard barriers that work alongside ELinOS’s native security stack, giving manufacturers additional resilience against a growing wave of automated and AI-enabled attacks targeting connected and industrial devices.

SYSGO and Karamba Security have jointly tested the integration of XGuard with ELinOS 8.0 to validate that the two run together reliably in real-world deployments. Deployed together, XGuard’s runtime defense layers work in tandem with ELinOS’s security features, so that vulnerabilities present in a device may become non-exploitable at runtime — without requiring source code changes or ongoing signature or CVE updates.

The collaboration is structured to make it straightforward for ELinOS customers to explore additional protection: SYSGO will refer customers interested in extending their deployments with XGuard’s runtime defenses to Karamba Security.
